SucShop is a lightweight, self-hosted e-commerce program built with PHP+Smarty+MySQL/SQLite. It features a simple design, small file size, and fast operation. By default, it comes with all core e-commerce functionalities, eliminating the need for additional paid plugins. It helps small and medium-sized merchants, independent entrepreneurs, content creators, influencers, and freelancers launch their own e-commerce websites quickly.
SucShop is a content-focused e-commerce program. It doesn’t have a separate page for adding products. To add a new product, you first need to create a post-type page. The goal is to let users read your content first, then decide whether to buy your product. From our years of experience, this marketing method gets much higher conversion rates than regular e-commerce platforms.
SucShop supports selling two types of products:
l Digital products:
n Downloadable products: Paid resources like e-books, documents, audio/video courses, images, etc.
n Licenses: Website card keys, software activation codes, paid account credentials, etc.
n Note: Subscription products aren’t supported yet due to complex integration needs.
l Physical products: Items like clothing, accessories, furniture, home appliances, mobile phones, etc.
Compared to heavy traditional e-commerce platforms (such as WordPress + WooCommerce, Magento, PrestaShop, OpenCart, Shopware), SucShop is much lighter and runs about 4 times faster.
Unlike SaaS e-commerce platforms (like Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, BigCommerce, Shopline) with fixed functions and limited customization, self-hosted SucShop lets you customize themes and add more styles/features flexibly.
